Born of Jamaican and Nigerian parents and raised in Ireland, rapper JyellowL has drawn on all three aspects of his background to create his distinct sound.

With a degree in politics from UCD University in Dublin, his subject matter explores the social and global problems that intrigue and disturb him. Touching on topics like racism early on with stunning tracks like 'Cold In The Summer', to the lessons taught to him by his Jamaican grandmother on how to be himself in a world that wants to force you down a particular path.

The end of 2018 saw the beginning of the rise of JyellowL.

Landing high profile support slots with Rap superstar NELLY in November on his 3 date Irish tour, followed by a sold out Dublin show with the "Money Trees" hit maker Jay Rock was only the beginning.

Moving forward from his stunning debut, 2018's 'Bulletproof' EP, 2019 rolled out with his highly acclaimed 'Me N Me 2' EP, as well as a headline Irish tour, his first headline show in London, and a headline concert Steck Poppodium in The Netherlands.

The ensuing summer saw JyellowL make his stamp on the Irish festival scene with a series of unforgettable performances including...Longitude, KnockanStockan, Body & Soul, Band On The Strand Festival, Red Bull Gaf Party, a headline slot at Delft Jazz Festival in Holland, and finally ending the summer in style with a headline slot at the '3 Made By Music Stage' on the Saturday night of Electric Picnic 2019.

This fueled the next and most exciting part of 2019 for JyellowL. JyellowL's single 'Ozone' was selected to feature on the in game soundtrack for the mammoth EA Sports FIFA 20. Ozone would take it's place alongside a carefully curated playlist including the likes of Anderson Paak, Major Lazer, Hot Chip and Skepta to name but a few. Jean Luc ended the year with a live performance and broadcast of 'Ozone' on RTE's NYE party.

2020 begins with a collaborative single release with JyellowL and rising star Mac Irv of Minneapolis U.S.A set for release on 31st of January.

The 9th and 10th of February will see Jean Luc support one of his idols, Rap legend THE GAME on his two Irish dates at The Helix Dublin and Ulster Hall Belfast. This is shortly followed by his first headline UK tour kicking off on the 18th of Feb with dates in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and London. Special guests on JyellowL's UK tour include  Mac Irv and London conscious guru Aaron Unknown. February comes to a close with JyellowL performing in the beautiful Church venue setting of Other Voices alongside Rock giants 'ELBOW'.

Stay tuned for the most exciting part of the journey so far. In the words of JyellowL 'You don't hustle, you don't eat !'.
