New album A Matter of Time drops this summer, accompanied by a 29-date UK and European tour
Iconic genre-blending trio Fun Lovin’ Criminals are set to release their long-awaited seventh studio album, A Matter of Time, this summer—marking their first full-length release in 15 years. The band will also hit the road for a 29-date international tour, with shows across the UK, Ireland and Europe in autumn 2025.
A Bold Return to Their Signature Sound
A Matter of Time sees the band return to their gritty, genre-crossing roots, fusing elements of rock, hip-hop, and soul. Founding member, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Brian ‘Fast’ Leiser, alongside drummer and producer Frank Benbini, conceived and recorded the album in summer 2024. The LP is being mixed and mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Tim Latham ISP.
This will be the band’s first full album since 2010’s Classic Fantastic.
“Making A Matter of Time was a very personal and introspective experience for Frank and I,” said Fast.“This album reflects where we are as a band. It’s about staying true to ‘this here song’, a lyric from one of the new tracks. Over the past 30 years, we’ve always created music that resonates with our fans, and this record is no exception.”
New Music and New Momentum
The album follows two EPs—The Roosevelt Sessions and The Capistrano Sessions—and comes after a three-year world tour. Fans will be able to pre-order the album and hear the first single on Friday, 23rd May.
“We’ve played everywhere from the west coast of the USA to the east coast of New Zealand,” added Frank.“This next chapter is all about creative freedom. Fun Lovin’ Criminals are not going anywhere—except on tour. Our fans have been asking for new music for years, and we can’t wait to finally share this album.”
A Matter of Time will officially release on Friday, 29th August.
