Shannon shared, "I miss Shane dearly and feel honoured to have been his friend, playing and touring with him. I attended his 60th birthday concert at The National Concert Hall, where a star-filled band and crowd gathered to celebrate him. I dreamed of doing similar shows for Shane’s fans across Ireland. Though we've lost Shane, with full support from his sister Siobhán and widow Victoria, we're now putting this tribute together. Join us in celebrating our incredible friend and legend, Shane MacGowan."
